Optimize Your Wordpress Blog Mobile Friendly

wordpressWe know that number of popular websites have a mobile version of their site.  The reason behind this change is because of the mobile users has been increased everyday.  More and more people are searching the internet via their mobile phones also they don’t need a computer to connect to the internet. The only problem with a mobile version of your website is that you have to get one.

It usually involves the development or design of a new optimized version of your current website.  When you creating a mobile website we need to consider about the mobile search.  I have written a article about how to design your website for mobile user friendly.

If you have a Wordpress blog, you can easily get your blog mobile friendly. There is number of “mobile friendly” Wordpress plugins are available. You can install without any problem on your site.  Here I listed some of the mobile friendly plugins that I have found.

  • WordPress Mobile Edition is a fantastic plugin from Alex King’s Crowd Favorite that builds a mobile version of your blog and even adds a commenting interface. When visitors come to your site from mobile device. Mobile browsers are automatically detected and customized. Their mobile demo on the Carrington theme is quite attractive indeed. Smaller screens do not display this as well as the iPhone does.
  • WordPressMobile.mobi (I just noticed the WordPress in the domain name) A WordPress mobile plugin by Andy Moore that provides a mobile version of your WordPress blog. The site does not provide any screenshots or details, just give the plugin. Looks like a very popular plugin with lots of installs.
  • WordPress Mobile Pack by James Pearce is a well liked set of plugins that creates a mobile environment for your WordPress blog including the admin panel. It also includes a mobile switcher to select themes based on the type of user that is visiting the site and Screenshots are included on the extend pages.
  • Mobilize is another plugin that renders your WordPress blog via Mippin and even allows the user to insert their own ads. The plugin is to be configuration free. Clean and neat.
  • WordPress PDA and iPhone is a simple, straightforward plugin that gives a simple version of your wordpress blog on a PDA browser. Output screenshots on the plugin are available on the page.
  • MobilePress is a WordPress plugin that will render your WordPress blog on mobile handsets, with the ability to use customized themes. The plugin also allows specific themes for specific devices / mobile browsers, such as iPhone, Opera Mini, Windows CE Mobile and other generic handset browsers. Nice site, good screenshots, simple to install.
  • WPTouch is a mobile plugin and theme combination for WordPress that adds a sleek WordPress theme for iPhone visitors. The admin panel allows you to customize many aspects of its appearance.
  • WordPress Mobile by Mobify This plugin detects mobile devices and sends them to the appropriate mobile URL. You must register for a free Mobify account at http://mobify.me in order to create and manage the mobile version.
  • WPtap It convert your WordPress site into mobile comfortable version when viewed from iPhone, iPod Touch, touch-based Blackberry, Symbian, and Android smartphones.  Also it gives mobile theme solutions for your WordPress website.

There are various other plugins are available in WordPress Extend that gives the mobile functionality to your WordPress blog. Choose one that fits your needs and wants and get your successful mobile friendly word press blog. Also get lots of new mobile visitors for your website.
